Road Trip '12 - Introduction

The Mission is to take the family on an epic road trip to the east coast.

The Background.  Amy has a school requirement to attend a national pharmacy conference. Our original intent was to turn her conference trip into a romantic getaway for just the two of us. Amy and I have always wanted to take the family on a long road trip. When we were looking at locations, it came to us that we had an perfect opportunity to go out East to visit family and friends and take the kids to museums. We jumped on it.

The Plan. We pack up the Outback and head out towards Baltimore and the ASHPA Summer Conference. Along the way, we want to see some friends from Michigan and the Smithsonian. We will end the trip in Missouri celebrating the life of Amy's uncle, Joe Hewitt who passed last month.

Hallmark Moment

Amy watched her boss's kid last Saturday while went out to shop for
Vegas supplies and got some alone time.

After 4 or 5 hours, Kimberly and MJ were getting along better than
cousins. There was kissing and talk of marriage by the end of the day.
After she left, he got momma to spell word after word so he could
write her a letter all by himself. (he asked her to come over again on
Tuesday...)

Oh yeah, the point....... About 2p, on the way to Wal-Mart, Marcus
remarked to Kimberly, "You're black"

She responded, "You're white"

"I like being white"

"I like being black"

<end of discussion about race>

Isn't nice when something works right...

Off we go...

If I was a flight attendant, I would be tempted to make last call an
old fashioned "All Aboard!"
